Second Biennial conference of sixteenth-century scholars of France of the MidAtlantic
Conference dates: December 8 and 9, 2017
Deadline for abstracts: June 10, 2017
Location: Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland
Keynote: Jeff Persels, University of South Carolina :“The French Wars of Religion and the Environment.”
Abstracts are invited for papers for the second Biennial conference of sixteenth-century scholars of France of the MidAtlantic. This conference will explore literary and cultural production in French in and around the period from 1500 to 1600. We invite abstracts from a range of disciplines.
Abstracts (up to 300 words) for papers 20 to 25 minutes in length should be sent directly to: kmaynard2@washcoll.edu and kendrickjw@vmi.edu. Along with your abstract please include your name, institution, paper title and a brief biography.
Proposals for sessions and roundtables are also welcome and may be sent directly to the organizers. Successful applicants will be notified by August 1, 2017.
